Shipping Fast Without Breaking Trust
Speed and reliability are usually framed as a tradeoff. They are not. Most outages come from skipped basics — backups, observability, rollback paths — not from shipping too often.
Teams that ship 10 times a day are not riskier than teams that ship monthly. They're usually safer, because every change is small enough to reason about and revert.
The tradeoff is real, but it's not speed vs. safety. It's "did you invest in the boring infrastructure that lets you ship fast?" Backups, monitoring, feature flags, blue/green deploys — these are not optional once you have paying customers.
